The website saves your selected location, drying preferences and recent product-link clicks in this browser’s local storage. Native apps also save your active load and laundry history on the device. Records from the earlier website laundry log remain available through the export button below. They are not synced between devices. Clearing browser data will remove them. Product-click records are local diagnostics, not confirmed sales or commission records.
Weather and location
Location permission is requested only after you press the location button. Forecast coordinates are rounded to three decimal places and sent to the AirDry weather endpoint, which requests a forecast from MET Norway. This is still precise location information. For device location, AirDry also uses the nearest city in its bundled dataset to choose weather units; this does not replace your forecast coordinates. City search terms are sent to AirDry and matched against a bundled GeoNames dataset; they are not sent to an external city-search API. A UK postcode is sent through the AirDry endpoint to Postcodes.io.
Location is used to provide the forecast, not for advertising or cross-app tracking. The native apps have no advertising or analytics SDK enabled. The weather service does not attach an account, email address or device identifier to a forecast request. It temporarily caches forecasts by rounded coordinates until the provider’s expiry time (30 minutes when none is supplied), and postcode lookups for up to 24 hours. AirDry’s operational cloud logs have a 30-day retention setting. The hosting and weather providers may also process request information under their own policies.
Delete your app data
In the iPhone or Android app, open More → Delete device data → Delete. This clears your saved location, preferences, active load and laundry history from that device. Export your log from Laundry → Export my log first if you want to keep a copy. AirDry has no app account to close and no server copy of your laundry log.
For a request about information held by AirDry, email hello@airdry.io with the subject “AirDry data deletion”. Tell us which information you want removed; for an updates or sponsorship registration, write from the address you registered. Requests are handled manually. Temporary forecast caches and operational logs expire as described above; we cannot identify a particular person’s cached forecast from an account because forecast requests have no account attached.
Updates and sponsorship interest
If you submit an email address, the existing AirDry Firebase service stores your email, the page you submitted from, your browser’s user-agent string, registration timestamps and whether you requested updates, sponsorship contact or both. Sponsorship interest does not subscribe you to news. There is no automatic confirmation email. Following AirDry on Buy Me a Coffee uses their separate follower list.
Optional website analytics
Google Analytics loads only if you choose “Allow analytics”. It measures page visits and product-link clicks using analytics cookies. We send the page’s public canonical address without query strings or fragments and the referring website’s origin without its path or search terms; we do not send your saved location, search text, email address or laundry history. Google processes technical information such as browser/device details and network information to provide analytics. Advertising storage and personalization remain disabled.
You can decline and still use the planner, guides and updates form. Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to change your choice. Declining stops further measurement and removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies; it does not delete data already received by Google. Your choice is saved on this device. Shopping and support
Amazon links use our US Associates tag. Amazon Global Earning may send international shoppers to local products, alternatives or search results. Amazon handles shopping and commission attribution under its own terms. AirDry does not receive payment-card information. Website coffee support, when configured, opens Buy Me a Coffee in your browser; that provider handles payment details. Native app tips, when enabled, use Apple or Google billing. Tips do not unlock features, badges or subscriptions. The stores are the source of payment history; AirDry does not maintain a server-side purchase ledger.
Deleting device data does not remove an email previously submitted to the updates or sponsorship interest list. To request removal, email hello@airdry.io using the email you entered on the Updates or sponsorship form. Requests are handled manually.
