A drying window is a stretch of time when the forecast and your available hours give a load a reasonable chance to dry outdoors. AirDry checks hourly conditions across the estimated duration.
Start with the whole window
A dry hour at the start does not make a whole afternoon suitable. Before you hang out, check whether the forecast changes before you plan to bring the load in. Recheck it when you return to the planner.
Tell AirDry about the load
Choose light clothes, a mixed load or heavy cotton. Select whether your line is sheltered and whether the spot is shaded. These settings change the experimental estimate; they cannot capture every fabric, garden or washing machine.
Give yourself a margin
AirDry shows a range and checks the longer end against the available forecast. That range is a modelling allowance, not a statistically measured confidence interval. A low forecast rainfall amount also does not rule out a local shower.
Record what actually happened
Use “I’ve hung a load out now”, then record “Still damp” or “It’s dry”. Your log stays on your device and can be exported. The current version does not automatically retrain itself from these observations.
